BECOME MEDIA FLUENT THROUGH TRAINING
We are facilitation experts that help individuals, teams, and companies build the skills they need to educate or be educated about media and literacy, create media-based communications & productions, and transform how we interact in a mediated world, both in-person and virtual.
We build the capacity of New Mexico educators through training aligned to state standards to engage students and elevate learning.
The Teachers Transform: Media Fluency Professional Development Program is a job-embedded capacity-building program for educators enhancing learning across disciplines and expanding learning with media and technology.
In 2022-2023, we are offering a free program funded through the NM Legislature and NM Public Education Program
Designed to provide in-depth learning in an online course format, the courses provide important skills for educators to embed in the classroom becoming 21st century educators and expanding literacy.
The courses provide a comprehensive approach to media fluency allowing educators to facilitate learning with media and technology in the classroom.
The format are 6-module courses and 15-18 hours per course, on-demand or instructor led.
ONLINE & ONSITE WORKSHOPS
MSC's Media Lab provides half-day or full day highly participatory, facilitator-led experiences for adults and youth on various media fluency topics. We create an interactive space so educators and youth can connect and collaborative learn.
We host a 3-day hands-on, interactive bootcamp training at your organization, school or district with hands-on interactive workshops and troubleshooting help. Topics are tailored to the needs of the audience and include media, news, digital and information literacy; tools and resources to apply for teaching, planning, and learning.
